3rd-8th House vs. 3rd-8th Travel—How to Choose

The offered options of both House and Travel teams is meant to address the range of attitudes and time commitment regarding lacrosse at the youth levels. We appreciate parents’ efforts to understand their daughter's time commitment and level of interest and guide her to the program in which she can have the most fun and success.

House Program: Featuring Sunday skills clinics & scrimmages

Good option for girls who have other high-priority activities in the spring or for those who desire a more recreational experience without  the commitment of a friday/saturday travel schedule. It is also for perfect for those players who are just getting started with lacrosse and want to focus on skills. It also works well for those with conflicting sports/activities committments.

The fundamentals of the game, proper stick handling technique, and team play shall be taught, along with skill development.  Girls will receive maximum "touch time" with the ball to facilitate improvement.

House League will meet on Sunday afternoons in April and May
Registration for House League will Open on January 15th.
First House Clinic is March 29th

Travel Program: Traditional Travel Team with consistent attendance at practices & weekly games

Consistent attendance at scheduled games and practices is requested, with exceptions made for illness or other unforeseeable circumstances. Consistent practice and game attendance builds fitness, individual skills and teamwork, as well as leadership and accountability.  Travel Teams will meet weekly on Wednesdays, Friday and Saturdays in April and May. Teams will practice and play home and away games against other rec teams. Attendance at scheudled home and away games should be a priority for a travel player. We also encourage our 6th, 7th and 8th grade players to participate in their middle school teams and priority should be given to their school teams where there is a direct game conflict.
